Message from the Ayalas’ - December 2008

“On December  3, 2008, a Breakfast Fellowship was held at our home attended by 33 of which were 23 Church Planters/Pastors of small village churches. Rev. George Feiser, Senior Pastor of Grace Community Church, Plano, Texas along with Dennis Tollison,  his Associate Minister of Administration gave a challenging  & inspiring message to 33 in attendance, 23 of whom were church planters/pastors of small village churches in Tagaytay, a city 35 miles south of Manila.

Both Pastors were on a 4-day fact-finding visit  exploring what their 4,000 member congregation could participate in some kind of ministry in the Philippines. Both  heard from Dr. Fred Magbanua, and other leaders at a separate luncheon meeting about the wide open field for  evangelism and church planting  where some 28,000 barangays (enclaves) have no Christian witness”.

IBC Medical-Dental Mission,  November 16, 2008 Inspired by the two previous visits to the village of Iruhin East, in Tagaytay City in which the Iruhin Bible Church was the venue for a team of physicians, dentists, nurses and other medical personnel provided free services to several hundred residents mostly farmers. Shown above is the third visit in which an additional  121 children and adults were treated and medicines were provided. All told, close to 400 residents of 1,000 so far were given free medical/dental services.  Pat & I played a role in organizing these projects as part of its outreach being members of Iruhin Bible Church.

“During our regular visit to Dallas and Houston for our annual medical check up and visit with our children and grandchildren, we had the privilege of meeting Pastors of churches who collected books for our Pastors library program. Among those are the First Baptist Church of EulessFirst Baptist Church & Champion Forest Baptist Church - both in Houston and several other churches and individuals. About 10,000 volumes have been collected and are stored in Port Lavaca and in Houston awaiting shipment. Shown above is a large donation of books from Christian Resources International, Inc. of Fowlerville, Michigan headed by Fred Palmerton, who is donating approx. 15,000 volumes of assorted Christian books plus those donated by Ward Presbyterian Evangelical church and Harvest International in the Detroit area will fill the container with approx. 32,000 lbs. or about 30 books. This container and other books collected will mean 12 new Pastors libraries to be established in as many strategic locations in the Philippines.”
